Gothenburg has, alongside Nice in France and Utrecht in the Netherlands, been granted 18 million Euros (just over 175 million Swedish krona) by the EU, for a five-year project. It focuses on open data and the testing of climate-smart solutions for energy and sustainable transport. Both Gothenburg residents and the rest of the EU shall benefit from the results.

Gothenburg is the best location for a distribution centre in Scandinavia, particularly for import companies with large volumes passing through the Port of Gothenburg. This was revealed in a new study published by the consultancy company SWECO.
